Sand filtration systems in a swimming pool could lead to a very high quality pool if this natural filtering system is the type that you prefer.  The benefits of using a sand filtration system when constructing a swimming pool, especially a swimming pool built by Carlton pools, is that a doesn’t actually require any certain machines or electricity to operate.  It’s a slow pressure system.  Comparatively speaking, it’s actually a lot slower of a filtering system that a standard mechanical one, but it’s all natural.  That’s the first benefit of using the sand filtration system.

Sand filtration systems, unlike other water filtration technology, are used for slow moving water. Because of the natural slowing filtration method and because the water filtration system is very natural, in order to use a sand filtration system the amount of water that needs to be filtered should be minimal. If a large amount of water is needed to be filtered then several sand filtration system should be installed.  Otherwise an alternative filtration system should be used.

For example, if you want to go with a natural filter system in a community pool where there is a lot of activity and it’s being used quite frequently, you will either have to install several sand filter beds or go with a different type of filtration system.  Also, in a large family pool you’ll want to consider the flow of water and if it’s small enough to use a sand filter.

This slow rate of water flow is necessary for the healthy development of the biological process in your sand filter system.  Just a caution, if you choose this type of filtration system, make sure that you install sufficient to properly filter your entire pool. Work with a good contractor like Carlton Pools and they will help you determine the number of filter systems for your pool.
